Low-E glass is lined with a clear film that is designed to reflect radiant heat and provide additional UV protection. This film drastically decreases the amount of heat transferred between the glass panels. In the winter it reflects the heat back into your home preventing it from escaping keeping your house warmer. In the summer, the Low-E glass reflects the suns heat back out keeping your home cooler. In fact, having this film can make the glass up to 29% more efficient than regular clear glass, saving home energy cost.

Laminated glass is a type of safety glass that remains intact when shattered. When broken, it is held in place by an interlayer, typically polyvinyl butyral (PVB), between its two or more layers of glass.

Laminated Glass is a Double Pane Glass that contains a piece of laminated plastic in-between the panels and melted and pressed to the glass. This piece of laminate makes the glass much stronger than regular glass which helps prevent objects from breaking through the glass. This is the same method that is used for vehicle windshields. The glass is impact resistant which means it meets the necessary standards for severe weather zones.

Float glass is the most common glass used in windows. There are two types of glass made by the float process, clear glass and tinted glass. Most of the flat glass made by the float process is clear glass. As its name implies, clear glass is transparent and colorless.

Insulating glass (IG), more commonly known as double glazing, consists of two or more glass window panes separated by a vacuum or gas-filled space to reduce heat transfer across a part of the building envelope.
